Lesson Planning and Curriculum Designing based on the needs and the profile of the students of Modern Greek (15 hours, 70 euro)

The seminar includes seven units:
Unit 1.1 Educational Contracts and Tools
Unit 1.2 Presentation of the participants
Unit 1.3 The profile of our students
Unit 1.4 Curriculum Design for teaching Greek as a foreign/ second language
Unit 1.5 Lesson Planning
Final Assignment (individual or in pairs)
Unit 1.7 Reflection
The final Assignment is the production of a Lesson Plan or a Curriculum that is based on the trainee teachers’ choice and needs, depending on the real needs of their educational context.
Apart from study hours according to a time-schedule, the trainees will attend four (4) hours of online synchronous Skype sessions with the trainers (optional). The trainers will answer any questions in three days at the latest.
The synchronous sessions are not obligatory, but the trainees could participate in order to ask questions and “meet” all participants.
Trainee teachers have to upload at least one post in every Unit of this seminar and to upload at least ten answers to other participants. They also should work on the Final Assignment as well as to fill in the evaluation form of the seminar.
Trainers will be at the trainees’ disposal in order for the latter to contact them through Skype, phone, or e-mail.

She has had further training in using drama techniques in language teaching and in adult training. Author of books, as well as articles and research papers on teaching Modern Greek as a foreign language. Teacher trainer and certified Master Trainer (trainer of teacher trainers) and facilitator on Teaching Methodology, Intercultural Education and Peace Education seminars at the Hellenic Culture Centre, in various NGOs and other public and private Institutions. Coordinator of various research projects on education, on the European and national level. Founding member of OSMOSIS- Centre for the Arts and Intercultural Education. External Adult education expert working for the National Organization for Certification of Adult Educators (EOPPEP), for the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), and IDEP Cyprus, National Agencies for the Erasmus plus Programme.
